At Victoria Avenue Public School we understand that effective communication between the school and families is important in building a safe and respectful environment for our learners. As you are aware, we moved to a new invoicing, payment and permission note system in 2023 called School Bytes.

The school community have found the School Bytes platform highly functional and user friendly.

As a result of community feedback on our communication channels and the challenges of our existing App we will be moving to using School Bytes for all communication from the beginning of Term 2 (29 April, 2024).

What does this mean for you?

• All communication will come from the one platform – permission notes, payments, attendance information, billing, push notifications
• Parents can access School Bytes through the School Bytes Parent Portal or through the new mobile phone app
• All communication received from the school will be grade specific

To ensure that you do not miss any school information/events, please complete the following actions.

• Set up a School Bytes Parent Portal account
• Download the School Bytes App to your mobile device. This will replace school enews and is required to receive push notification. It will be our main platform for communication.

• Get real time push notifications from school. These will be automatically enabled when you download the app.
• Stay signed in and save your card for secure payments for fees and excursions
• Give consent, sign forms and respond to attendance alerts
• View the school calendar and news
